Please allow me to introduce us... My wife, Betty, and I entered the house-sitting world in search of opportunities to travel and visit as many cities as possible in the Eastern U.S. We see house-sitting as a means that will allow us to do light travel in the US in an affordable and adventurous manner. We would thoroughly enjoy doing local visiting, sampling the local restaurants, shopping areas, and possibly sporting events while simultaneously caring for your home and pets. My wife Betty and I are also "pickers". We travel the U.S. searching for rare items that we ultimately sell online. We go to thrift stores, flea markets, and yard sales in the areas where we visit in search of these goodies. We are members of the 3 largest house-sitting services in the US. We have NEVER canceled a sitting job nor would we ever do so. I will keep our word and our commitment to you. Being retired affords us the flexibility that many sitters do not have. We can even extend the sit for you should you need extra time. We will be happy to pay our own expenses, including food and transportation. To help you feel more at ease on your trip, we will even take care of your daily duties like handling your garbage service, collecting your mail, doing minor errands, etc. We will be the perfect guests in your home since we also have a nice home in Atlanta and know what it takes to keep it in tip-top condition. We will manage your house and pets EXACTLY as you desire. My wife and I both have clean criminal records and each of us are squeaky clean folks who are NOT party people at all. You can 100% count on us to keep your home tidy and clean while caring for your pet/pets, while we experience your little corner of the world. I am a U.S. Marine Vietnam-era veteran and retired businessman who ran 3 businesses in my working career, including property management over 50 years. I am a counselor in our local church, working in both addiction and grief counseling. My wife has managed and run offices for large companies her entire working career, including a European company based in the US. Speaking of my wife, she is OUR strong point! She is an animal fanatic, almost always overdoing their care. She loves all animals and cares for all pets as she does her own. She thinks pet care is childcare. She WILL spoil your babies! She once saved a dog's life by detecting a problem that would have gone unnoticed by most people. She rushed the dog to the vet just in time. The vet said 24 hours and the dog would not have survived! We are both teeming with energy and are in perfect health with no handicaps or restrictions. You will not find a couple more settled, workable, and willing to be completely suited to your needs! So, holler at us, and let's see what we can work out! We are currently booked through to the middle of October but could possibly squeeze in a short sit. After October, we are wide open for a while.
