SingleI can provide references in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Florida and Michigan on request. I have had both of my Covid vaccines and a booster with paper to prove it.. I did not do any housesits from February 2020 to February 2021. I rejoined Housesittersamerica in 2023.
I am focused on longer sits but may do short sits if they are in my area and if the owners provide a small fee. I would like to spend winters in AZ or New Mexico but most longer sits are the other way around. I have done two summers in Tucson with references that were not listed on this site. One owner found me through my profile but didn't post here and another was referred by mutual acquaintances.

I am a former Peace Corps volunteer from Colorado. I have done house sitting and pet care off and on for several years.
I love to be out in nature hiking and biking. I am active and healthy and love dogs and cats. i am willing to learn almost any creature care. As of March of 2023 i have care for plants, cats. dogs, geese, tortoise, and snakes. I'm open to be trained for the care of horses.
I enjoy staying in new places around the country for longer times because I like to involve myself in community activities. I.E. volunteer work with food banks and local Baha'is.
I am a early riser every morning and almost always home evenings to take care of your pets. I like a tidy and clean home and will keep yours that way.

I have uploaded a reference and a background check notification. The reference is from a home owner in California and the background notice was from a volunteer organization that I belong to in the Denver area. I also have a reference letter from my previous sit in AZ.
Kathryn was a wonderful and trusted sitter. She was easy-going, kind, considerate, and attentive to everything in the house. Our kitties were were kept happy and healthy with her care and company. She stayed in regular contact with us, and we were comfortable knowing all was well in her hands. We highly recommend Kathryn for any house sit, and she is always welcome back!
Very unpleasant experience with Kathryn.
She was often hostile/argumental, refused to do several agreed-upon duties and even killed one of my small reptiles. Would never give me straight answers about what happened.
Left trash in my home, frequently refused to use the ADT security system, and even appears to have disabled the system at one point.
She was unacceptably rude to my cleaning person and a neighbor who stopped by to attempt to repair the security system.

Kathryn was a great sitter, she kept in regular communication with me and took great care of my cats and home. She also was a great sport about my kitchen renovation project that was not as complete as I had planned.
I would recommend Kathryn and will definitely reach out to her again for future sits.
Kathryn was a great communicator and took fantastic care of our cat Tony as well as some seedlings that needed watering. We'd have her back to sit anytime!
Kathryn communicated well and carried out the care I needed for my cat and ducks as well as garden starts. She rescued one of my ducks from a difficult situation which I very much appreciated.
Kathryn was an excellent sitter, with a very peaceful and gentle spirit. Our cat had some special dietary and first aid concerns at the time we entrusted him to Kathryn, and she did such an excellent job managing this curveball. We highly recommend her!
Kathryn did a fabulous job of looking after our place while we were gone. Romeo (the dog) took to her right away and he didn't seem to miss us. She was easy going and very communicative. I highly recommend her .
Kathryn stayed with Alpine, our 8 year old Vizsla for a week in our Moab home. Kathryn was very neat and kept the house in great order. She took Alpines on daily hikes and both were happy to explore new areas. Alpine loves to cuddle and demands lots of attention, Kathryn made sure she was well cared for and tucked into her blankets at night. I would highly recommend Kathryn for house sitting and pet car.
We are so appreciative of Kathryn and her care of Darby and our home while we were away. She was so easy to communicate with, provided regular updates, and our house was in such a beautiful state when we arrived home. We couldn't have asked for a better individual to assist us!
