67, retired

I'm a young 67 year old widow and sold my plumbing business when my 57 yr old husband of 35 years died from kidney cancer in 2013. I now consider myself retired by default since we ran our plumbing business together and I sold it after his death.

I am vaccinated and boostered, but I still hunker down with the pets since I love to snuggle the fur babies. I also disinfect the home I stay in on a regular schedule so when the owners come home they can be comfortable knowing their home is safe.

For an additional service i will clean your house like a pro. sometimes i think I should have been a house cleaner since i like the change from dirty to sparkling! starting at $100.00.

I want the rest of my life to be caring for humankind and volunteering for the needy, elderly, and abandoned pets.
I love to travel and have relocated from Wisconsin to Colorado Springs in dec. 2021. I started right away volunteering at the Springs Rescue Mission that help the homeless, it's a great organization and i really feel like I'm helping.

I guess at first I was running away after my husband passed, I started house sitting for friends and family around the country for long periods. I ended up loving this, so branched out and using these sites I have had great experiences and met fabulous people.

I am a social, organized, honest neat freak. Very disciplined, non smoker, non drinker. I love others pets as though they are my own and have cared for elderly animals and ones that had medical needs.

All my past house sitting jobs hire me back again, and I have done several of them multiple times.

I'm sure it's scary inviting a stranger into your home to care for it and your beloved pets, but take a chance with me and release your stress. Once we meet you will realize you can relax on your travels and everything at home will be taken care of the way you want it.

My goal is to make sure you leave your home without any worries about how things are going at the home front. I do keep in touch with the home owners and send them pics and videos (if they are interested in that) of what's going on at home.

Words cannot express the absolutely exceptional way Carrie took care of our pups and home while we experienced Alaska. Please keep in mind that when we were leaving, one of our dogs was not doing well. We honestly thought of canceling our vacation. Under Carrie’s care, not only did my dog gain weight, he participated in daily walks and dips in the nearby river! Carrie has been a wonderful addition to our family. In addition to being our house-sitter, she has become my friend. We have 4 kitties with one being special needs. They warmed up to her beautifully and were happy and content upon our return. Carrie sent pictures regularly, which I very much appreciated. Carrie is absolutely perfect for our house and pets. She is great watching the house and my dogs abosolutely love her. She's the best thing ever for us!! Carrie is a great communicator, is prompt and comes through with everything. My house is usually better than I left it. I feel that me house is totally safe and my dogs are more than cared for, she's their new best friend. hey Steve, what nice words in my review, thank you. as you know I miss those dogs when I'm not there and I appreciate the ongoing "work".
Carrie is simply the best! Most importantly: she completely dedicated herself to the care of our cat, whom readily adopted her as one of his loved ones. However, beyond that she also took wonderful care of our home, communicated readily, and demonstrated herself as a person of character and conviction. We can't wait to welcome her back into our home again!

No rating Carrie was a wonderful pet/house sitter. The cats were well taken care of as was the house. We had a new kitten who was a "horror" and she got him to tame down considerably. She was very organized and kept everything clean and in its place. She was pretty well housebound while we were away as it snowed a great deal, but she kept herself busy. No rating I can't say enough about Carrie as a sitter...my cats love her, my plants love her and so do I! My home was very well taken care of during my absence as were my critters and plants. Carrie is not a "sit around" kind of gal, she worked on projects, added more flowers to my pots and beds and added some fun touches to my deck and home. I recommend her without hesitation and hope to have her back someday! In addition, I also made a new friend!
