Connie and I are recently retired and are looking forward to seeing the places we have always wanted to see. We live in a 55+ community, Trilogy in Rio Vista CA. which is ideal because we can get up and go on a moment's notice and be gone for months at a time. We have three adult daughters who live in California (Santa Ana, Santa Cruz) and Australia, so our travel interests span the entire state of California, all the western states, and we have a strong interest in international house sits. Our family motto is to always "leave a place in better shape than when we arrived". I am a very handy person, can fix or troubleshoot just about anything that can go wrong. We are both very clean people and keep a very tidy house. Connie's medical background also comes in handy. We have cared for a diabetic dog and injected insulin as well as IV infusion for cats with kidney disease. She is a UC Davis grad and has many years of medical assisting experience in a family practice and a dermatology office. My background was in an executive role in Human Resources with familiar names such as Oscar Mayer, Kraft Foods, Qualcomm. Look-up the word "responsible" in the dictionary and you will see our pictures there. We have had both dogs and cats during our 39 years of marriage. Our plan is to show up, give your home and pets the love and care they deserve, and enjoy the locality until you return.
We absolutely LOVED having Alan and Connie in our home this summer. They were by far the most wonderful house and pet sitters we've ever had. They were communicative, considerate, and they took wonderful care of our little love, Cleo. We hope to have them sit for us again and would recommend them 100%!

Alan and Connie delighted us with quality care of our pets, houseplants, home, and gardens. They surprised us with extensive winter clean up of our neglected flower beds, and left our home cleaner than when they arrived. They communicated with us just the right amount, with the occasional anecdote about our dogs and cat. We felt completely comfortable having this amazing couple in our home. Our pets bonded with them completely and we could see they got lots of love and attention . We came home to a spotless house and to boot we had our kitchen drawers tidied, cupboards too which we really appreciated.

Alan and Connie were wonderful, responsible dog and home sitters! They took care of our two dogs, one a very active and attention seeking youngster, for over a week. When we arrived home the pups were happy and healthy. Our home was super clean and our little garden was spruced up as well! They sent text updates with photos (and videos). Communication prior to, during, and after the sit was great. Highly recommend!
Alan and Connie were excellent house sitters! They took great care in everything they did, and left the house looking better than they found it. They also took especially good care of the garden, and I had no complaints from the cat. We would definitely recommend them!

Allen and Connie were excellent sitters! As a nervous first time user of House Sitters, they met all our expectations and more. They took wonderful care of of our cats and sent pictures every day. Our house was left in immaculate order. They even washed all the towels and sheets and made the beds! We couldn't have been luckier. We just had Alan and Connie stay in our home for two weeks. They arrived right on time and we got them settled in and familiar with the routine of our two cats and parrot. They did an absolutely fantastic job of addressing everything we needed done and we came home to a clean house and happy pets. We feel so fortunate to have had Alan and Connie as our sitters. We could not have asked for a more responsible, caring, and trustworthy couple to maintain our house and care for our cats. Alan and Connie did a fabulous job of caring for our 5 dogs and our home during our 3 week trip to Hawaii. They collected our mail dealt with the repair of our stove's oven, did some snow clearance of the decks and driveway, and kept up with the cleaning of dog bead covers and furniture in the dog room. They took wonderful care of our dogs and especially our diabetic Keeshound, Curly. They checked his blood sugar twice each day and kept it at a healthy balance with his meals and twice daily ... MORE
