57, Health Coach
Hi. I was born and raised in Miami, FL, then lived many years in NY and then Chicago. I've raised 2 children that are now grown and living in Chicago (25 and 23 yrs old), and I've raised dogs and cats for even longer (30+ years). I've usually had 2 to 3 animals at a time - starting with 1 Jack Russell Terrier, then 2, then a Beagle added to the mix, then a shepherd mix from the humane society, and a kitten that I adopted after my sister found a mommy cat during Hurricane Sandy in NJ. My first Jack Russell, Bentley, died at 19 yrs old! My last dog, Roxy (the mix) just died in January at 13 yrs old, and my kitty Teddy is still here (also 13 yrs old) and staying with me and my sister in St. Pete, FL. Now I'm ready to travel to see friends and family and experience more places. I love taking care of animals, I love the walks, I'm great with all details around any sickness or special food prep. I'm 57 yrs old and in very good health. I'm not afraid of animals at all. I feel like they feel our energy, so I make sure I keep a calm and nurturing feeling around them at all times so that they feel calm and happy (in case they are sad or nervous about any newness or their own family being away).
An additional fun fact: I'm a crazy organizer and have had sitting jobs with additional "organization projects" that I find fun to help out with too.
