Experienced Property Manager, Veterinary Assistant
44, Nurse Practitioner
I have been pet and house sitting for over 20 years. I began combining sitting gigs with travel about 5 years ago, and I've met some incredible people and pets all over the world as a result. It has truly been a phenomenal experience.
I completed a pre-veterinary curriculum at Cornell University, and have experience as a veterinary assistant, so I am comfortable with pets that have medical issues. I have taken care of several dogs and cats that required daily medications, including insulin injections and IV fluids.
I also have experience managing a couple small rental properties. I am not a repair guy myself, but I am skilled at identifying maintenance issues and organizing repairs as needed. I have done a lot of basic lawn care, and am always happy to take care of yards and gardens.
I am a currently working as a nurse practitioner, and provide telehealth services to community mental health agencies. I take my work with me on most sits, which means I'm around 24/7 during the week to give pets as much attention as they could possibly want! I'm also a non-smoker, eat mainly vegetarian, and love outside activities. I'm always more than happy to take dogs for extended walks/runs/hikes.
It would be an honor to care for your home and your animals while you are away. House/pet sitting has been a wonderful experience for me over the years. I can provide several current and reliable references.
P.S. For additional peace of mind, you can also look up my professional license online. I recent had a full background check to become licensed in Washington state,
