Hello!
I'm Emily - I love travel, plants and gardening (I'm a botanist/ecologist by training), and am an avid baker - especially cakes! I'd be happy to tend to plants and gardens while you're away and love dogs, cats and other pets too. I'm always looking for new and exciting travel opportunities around the country and thought house sitting would be a fun and economical way to do that!

I have lots of previous housesitting experience, mainly through colleagues I've worked with - here are some examples below:

St. Louis
- a couple with a huge house, 2 dogs, 1 cat - 3 times up to 3 weeks at a time
- woman with 1 dog - 3 times, up to 2 weeks at a time

Las Vegas
- woman with 1 cat - 4 times, up to a week

Carbondale, IL
- man with 4 large dogs - multiple times, up to a week at a time
-woman with 1 elderly dog - a few days at a time
-family with 1 dog - 1 time, a few nights

Highland Park, IL
- woman with 2 dogs (one really rambunctious!) - multiple times, up to 2 weeks
-woman with 1 large and 1 small dog - 5 times, a few days at a time

Emily was a great housesitter. Easy to communicate with, looked after the house well and reinvigorated the houseplants. Our cats were happy and content in her care, and she was able to look after their medical needs ( one broke her leg before we went away). We would highly recommend her to anyone!

Our cat clearly bonded with Emily! For our first few nights back home, our cat would sit in Emily's bedroom and meow loudly, wanting to know why Emily was not there. Emily also showed a cool head under pressure with a couple of unanticipated issues that arose while we were gone (we had given her an incorrect phone number for our representative who was to meet her on the first day, and a wall-mounted toilet that wouldn't stop running). No rating Emily was a fantastic house-sitter for my cat and my apartment. She communicated her travel plans with me before her trip, and everything was neat and tidy when I got home. My cat must have enjoyed her company, because it was like I never left!

No rating Emily was an excellent house and pet care provider. She is relaxed, easy to talk to, and responsible. Emily cared for our home in Templeton for 3 months. There were no problems. Emily was an excellent communicator and our pets(two dogs and a cat) were very well cared for. Thank you Emily for taking such great care of Habibi, Buddy, Fluffy.

No rating Emily was a great communicator before and during the sit. She had no reservations about giving meds to my 13 year old cat and learned quickly. She went to the vets and got prescriptions filled as needed which was a great relief to know my cats health was being well cared for. Upon return my home was clean and orderly and my kitties were happy! Thanks Emily
