We are a newly retired husband/wife couple. We lived in the Denver metro area for 23 years and recently moved to Grand Junction, CO. We too are homeowners for 27 years. We're looking for house-sitting opportunities to experience new places to visit!

As seasoned travelers, we're open to house-sit nationwide. Fernando retired from working overseas for 13+ years. Though we kept our Lakewood, CO home during that time, we are used to "setting up house" in different parts of the world.

Currently, we don't have pets so we can travel. Cindy grew up on a farm with lots of critters; she's had pets most of her life. To get her doggy/cat fix, Cindy volunteered at Foothills Animal Shelter (FAS), Golden, CO. FAS serves all of Jefferson County. Her favorite volunteer positions: Kennel Guide (bring dogs to visiting rooms for those interested in adoption) Pet Meds, and Vaccine Clinic - at-cost dog & cat vaccines to Jefferson County pet owners. Other positions she's done: Doggercise; Fostering (foster dogs that need recovery time away from a noisy shelter for various reasons); Off-site Adoption Events; Surgery Pack; and helped shovel gravel in outdoor dog runs. FAS is a happy place to work; it has a 94% adoption rate! Our last dog was a foster adopted from FAS. Cindy has volunteered there since 2014.

Cindy and Fernando did a great job housesitting for us. We were gone for 5 weeks and found the house in perfect condition when we returned. All was clean and neat. They also took great care of our dog Winston while we were away. Winston had some medical issues and Cindy handled them perfectly. Cindy and Fernando are lovely people and would not hesitate to ask them to house sit for us again.
