Nan & Dean

We are a mature US/NZ couple, married 54 years. We are very adaptable to change having lived 6 years in Europe, 17 years in NewZealand and the balance in the US. Together we have travelled extensively to many countries and all 50 states.. We have 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren. We love home and garden, are tidy and responsible, careful, honest, fit. We always seek out a local church for community involvement. What we bring to house sitting is an experienced stable couple who have owned homes over 40 years and are wanting you to feel confident that your property is being tended to by safe hands. Our growing family has always had and loved resident pets and we are missing that element of our lives now that we're moving around. To enjoy and love yours, (though always hard to leave), is a great boon!
In a recent 11 months assignment the owner was on a Fulbright to Taiwan and we looked after her administrative affairs, paid bills from her checking account, made small household repairs. In addition we introduced the owner to other professional folk in NZ to broaden her Fulbright experience. An even more recent assignment had us managing a cute Airbnb studio unit in the garden, meeting and greeting and ensuring smooth operations - surprisingly fun!
In earlier assignments we have maintained yard/garden. House plants are a favorite for Nan who talks to her plants!!
