I am a very conscientious, responsible adult who has recently retired from the Real Estate business after 30 years. I also have my own property management/rental business. Being in this business, I have a great respect for other people's property. I am in Massachusetts during the summer, and Florida Fall, Winter & Spring.
I love pets and a few years ago I was taking care of a friend's dog while she was at work. I would take her "Havanese" on daily walks as well as taking care of her overnight while she was away, either at her home or my own. The owner referred to me as her "Godmother". She was such a fun little dog, full of energy & love, and she would really keep me going.
Realizing how much I enjoyed doing this ~ I decided to join this website & others to apply for pet sit jobs.
I can assure you that I will respect your home, property & take very good care of it as well as your pet/pets.
My love of meeting new people & their pets as well as travel has brought me to this new venture, and it has proved to be a very positive experience thus far.
I traveled to Florida for my first house/pet sitting job through this site in Oct. 2010 and am pleased to say that it went very well. I spent 2 weeks taking care of a lovely home & pool, garden & plants, along with 2 dogs & 2 cats. I would be happy to supply you with references from the homeowners.
I also had a position in North Carolina for 1 month taking care of a lovely home on a golf course, plants, as well as 1 dog & 2 cats. The homeowner was very pleased, & we formed a special friendship out of this. She has told me that she would give me a very positive reference at any time.
More recent were trips to Jacksonville, Florida and Naples, Port Charlotte, Florida to pet sit and made more wonderful friends with the owners as well.
I spend my Summers in Massachusetts & winters in Florida & pet sit where I'm needed. I love traveling around!
