I interviewed several house sitters from your website to house-sit my large, art-filled, urban apartment in the Bay Area, as well as to take care of a beloved elderly cat, while I was away, out of the country, for an entire month. During our several initial emails, one man struck me as exceptionally thoughtful, appropriate and responsive. Since I was looking for a grownup to care for my home worry-free, I intuitively realized that he fit the bill. He more than lived up to that initial impression. On arrival, he welcomed my thorough briefing on my home and my cat's special needs, The quality of his attention and of his questions relieved me of any further anxiety about my departure. On his own initiative, he very kindly emailed me each week, to let me know that all was well, including some gently humorous updates on my cat's antics and health. He also managed two unexpected maintenance issues effectively and with no fuss. When I returned home the cat was happy and my home beautifully maintained. He was thoughtful, considerate and a gentlemanly house-sitter.
