This was our first time using House Sitters America, and Derrick and Theresa were wonderful! They were very prompt and thorough with communication, and took great care of our house and dog, Cora. We were gone for a week, and in that time Cora was well cared for, we received updates and pictures throughout the week, and came home to an immaculately clean house. Derrick and Theresa went above and beyond in the condition that they left the house, and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone or to use them again if the situation presented itself!

Derrick and Theresa were an absolute delight! From the initial contact through the day they left, they were friendly, communicative, and respectful. They came by a week or so before the sit to learn about the house and also to introduce themselves. During the sit they shared photos and took care of everything as if it was their own house. My cat absolutely loved them and I know received such great care! I would absolutely have Derrick and Theresa housesit again and recommend them to everyone!

Needed a sitter at short notice due to a family emergency and there was some disorganisation that they handled very graciously. Sent photos of walks around town so pup clearly got out and about and had some exercise. Came back to a tidy house and a happy dog.

Derrick and Theresa were perfect caregivers for Banjo. They are calm, confident and gentle long time dog owners whom Banjo immediately took to. Communication was great, from the initial video meeting right through until checking to make sure we had arrived safely back in Christchurch. It was really good to have Theresa and Derrick look after our dog Joey for a weekend. They are clear doggy lovers from get go. When we came back Joey was very happy and relaxed, which is a sure sign she also gives them a 5 star rating. We appreciate the fact that our apartment was left neat and clean. We highly recommend them!

Definitely highly recommend Derrick and Teresa and would happily have them housesit again. We went off tramping confident that our 3 border collies would be well looked after, loved and exercised. Thank you again

Derrick and Theresa answered my call for help with only 3 days before the house sit, so it's fair to say they saved the day. They were super flexible and the dogs especially loved them. Would happily recommend them and have them to house sit again 😊

Derrick and Theresa were great sitters. Happily came to meet Willow beforehand and their love of dogs was very evident. House was kept tidy and well looked after. Good communication.

Derrick & Theresa were a dream. They had Gary dog under their spell in minutes and Wednesday cat, in and around their legs before I even left! Such good people to talk to amd made me feel at ease when leaving them. The house was left just perfect and the animals were very well looked after! Would recommend these guys to anytime!
